“You didn’t? Then you think somebody could have walked up to Jesus Christ and handed him a guitar and he would have said, ‘I can’t play that thing’? Would he have said that?”
Illusions - The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach is a remarkable piece of literature. Tiny as it is, it contains a lot entertainment, philosophy and whatever you want it to contain. It can be read as some have read the Alchemist, as a gate to whatever life you want to live. Or you can see it as an other Life of Brian, and just enjoy the fun.
The novel is about a guy, a pilot, who one day happens to stumble upon a Messiah. In other words an advanced soul who has lived many times and learned the secrets of the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything; pretty much it’s all illusions…
In between eating cheeseburgers, flying passengers, and fixing their bi-planes the Messiah tries to learn Richard (the main character) some of the most important stuff. - Like walking on water and swimming in the ground.
Here is
a test to find
whether your mission on earthis finished:
If you’re alive,
it isn’t.

The reason for this particular post is that I’ve been tagged by my dear cousin Tina. I am breaking the rules slightly, since I won’t tag anyone:
Pick up the nearest book. Open on page 123. Find the fifth sentence. Post the next three sentences. Tag five people, and acknowledge who tagged you.
And in case you’re wondering, the opening quote is what I found on page 123.

“You remember Yoden, Ford?” “Yeah”, said Ford, “he was that guy we met when we were kids, the Arcturan captain. He was a gas.”
Kanskje ikke helt riktig måte å gjøre det på, men gjorde det for det, jeg. ;P
