Illusions - The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach is a remarkable piece of literature. Tiny as it is, it contains a lot entertainment, philosophy and whatever you want it to contain. It can be read as some have read the Alchemist, as a gate to whatever life you want to live. Or you can see it as an other Life of Brian, and just enjoy the fun.

The novel is about a guy, a pilot, who one day happens to stumble upon a Messiah. In other words an advanced soul who has lived many times and learned the secrets of the answer to Life, the Universe, and Everything; pretty much it’s all illusions…
In between eating cheeseburgers, flying passengers, and fixing their bi-planes the Messiah tries to learn Richard (the main character) some of the most important stuff. - Like walking on water and swimming in the ground.

Now 20 hours later the Monotone is up on WP.com and I am learning how to deal with it. Yay!

The other day Matt announced the coming of a new Automattic Noel Jackson photoblog theme. It’s named Monotone, and to tell the truth; it looks great. I really hope they are going to make it available at wordpress.com, or else I might get slightly disappointed. Speaking in mild terms.

Anyway, I’ve changes the look of this place (again), and I am almost satisfied. At least to that degree that I feel I can fix things myself. - Of course, nothing is better than a perfect, handcrafted, delicious template. But when you are just a poor student, who can not afford anyone else to do the work, nor is a brilliant coder (at all…), you sort of end up with middle way solutions. Not that there’s not a lot of great-looking templates out there for free, made my some awesome people. But in the end of the day, I want to make/do some of it myself.
Therefore I do love the people behind Tarski, K2 etc, who makes my life a lot simpler. And seriously, I’ve learned a lot by playing around with these themes. Adding styles and creating headers nearly every week for the past six months. Thank you guys!

Looking at this last gain of mine it does not seem like I’ve learned anything at all, does it?
- again I am trying something new, and again I might not succeed. But, thank you very much Justin Wong, for creating this theme, and license it under GPL, so I can mess aound with it. I’ve already added gravatar support to the theme, as well as some other stuff:D

I think I am done with off-topic posting for a while. So this is the last blogy update for a while, I hope.

I found a Norwegian art site site describing his style. Mentioning the re-creating of old paintings, now with something lacking, added, or simply re-done. Often with a duck, duck-ish, or Disney-like character instead of a human face or figure.The facial expression is from time to time a happy one, but you are more likely to find a feeling of the so-called “Finnish melancholy” in Stenvall’s pictures.
Good, old Wikipedia does not, for once, clarify much either: The man was born in Tampere, Finland, in 1951. He’s painting ducks (as we all know), and have studied some art during the years of his life.

Kaj Stenvall still claims only painting realistic images, even though they’ve been rather cartoon like since the 1980s. And I think you would have to judge for yourself, to understand why he says so. Maybe it’s bacause of that lonesome, little bit lost, human feeling of being, which is to be found in may of his pictures. At least that’s what I found the first time I looked at his artwork. And I did for sure find a lot of it as well. The unsureness of being alive.

So, yes I do now have a account at Baywords as well, along with my photoblog, and my Norwegian blogg (both hosted on Wordpress.com). What am I supposed to do with all this? - you may ask. And I’ll lie if I claim not to have asked so myself.

But you see, all but my latest achievement do serve some purpose. The photoblog part is obvious enough, and why I ended up posting my images at the Atomattic’s blogging service, you may read if you wish.

The Norwegian part is simple enough as well. There I can post my school papers, silly thoughts and so on. Some of my posts are even my own double posts, translated from this site. Usually it’s not the other way around, I do very seldom first write in English, then in Norwegian. Maybe because most Norwegians have some sort of knowledge their own second language. At least in theory. People in Norway understand written English pretty well, but their (mine included) way of talking is quite interesting…

So, what shall I do with this latest new account
- to tell the truth, I have barely no idea. I might put my little bit more crazy thoughts there (if I can find any thoughts more lunatic than those already posted here…). But we’ll see. And time will tell.
Maybe I’ll transelate my essay about John Wilmot and put it there. I am pretty sure it’ll fit the place quite beautifully…
